چکیده
Rapid advances in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology over the past decade have led to a paradigm shift cancer treatment from one-size-fits-all medicine genomics-based precision that has become more accessible general clinical practice. It, however, helped only less than 10% of patients who taken genomic profiling tests. Proteomics-based rather approaches can capture biological processes directly contributing pathogenesis. There is, therefore, growing need for simultaneous proteomic analysis next stage medicine. In future, it is expected data genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and epigenomic analyses will be integrated complemented accurately understand disease states propose therapeutic strategies. Reverse-phase protein array (RPPA) enables semi-quantitative, accurate, high throughput signal even small amounts samples. This review introduces its current status application medicine, highlights potential utility RPPA improving

RPPanalyzer: Analysis of reverse-phase protein array data
SUMMARY RPPanalyzer is a statistical tool developed to read reverse-phase protein array data, to perform the basic data analysis and to visualize the resulting biological information. The R-package provides different functions to compare protein expression levels of different samples and to normalize the data. Implemented plotting functions permit a quality control by monitoring data distributi...
متن کاملSpatial Normalization of Reverse Phase Protein Array Data
Reverse phase protein arrays (RPPA) are an efficient, high-throughput, cost-effective method for the quantification of specific proteins in complex biological samples. The quality of RPPA data may be affected by various sources of error. One of these, spatial variation, is caused by uneven exposure of different parts of an RPPA slide to the reagents used in protein detection. We present a metho...
متن کاملPotential utility of precision medicine for older adults with polypharmacy: a case series study
Pharmacogenomic (PGx) testing has been increasingly used to optimize drug regimens; however, its potential in older adults with polypharmacy has not been systematically studied. In this hypothesis-generating study, we employed a case series design to explore potential utility of PGx testing in older adults with polypharmacy and to highlight barriers in implementing this methodology in routine c...
متن کاملHost-Microbiome Interaction and Cancer: Potential Application in Precision Medicine
It has been experimentally shown that host-microbial interaction plays a major role in shaping the wellness or disease of the human body. Microorganisms coexisting in human tissues provide a variety of benefits that contribute to proper functional activity in the host through the modulation of fundamental processes such as signal transduction, immunity and metabolism. The unbalance of this micr...
متن کاملReverse-phase protein array profiling of oropharyngeal cancer and significance of PIK3CA mutations in HPV-associated head and neck cancer.
PURPOSE Human papilloma virus (HPV)-associated (HPV+) oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinomas (OPSCC) have different molecular and biologic characteristics and clinical behavior compared with HPV-negative (HPV-) OPSCC. PIK3CA mutations are more common in HPV(+) OPSCC. To define molecular differences and tumor subsets, protein expression and phosphorylation were compared between HPV(+) and HPV(-)...
